Thank you for your interest in joining the High School Soccer Referees Association of Greater St. Louis (HSSRA).  You must be at least 18 years of age AND out of high school to be a high school official.

The regular playing seasons for High School soccer run from the end of August to the end of October (boy’s season) and from late March to the end of May (girl’s season).

HSSRA Registration deadlines.

March 1st, Spring Girls.

July 15th, Fall Boys

HSSRA is not a training organization for New (Inexperienced) Referees. HSSRA will provide additionally updated and progressive referee training. There is an annual full day of training, in August for the entire membership as well additional training meetings provided in Jan, Feb, and March and with on-field training in July.

 

HSSRA members are required to attend or complete an online annual MSHSAA rules interpretation training.  New HSSRA members are also required to attend MSHSAA Mechanics Training during each of the first three years of registration.

 

Procedure to Become a High School Soccer Referee –

 

Obtain your License from the MSHSAA

 

1. Go to mshsaa.org
2. Click on the Officials tab
3. Click on Register in the upper right
4. Click on the ‘click here to the right of Create an Account / Officials.
5. Follow the instructions from there.
6. Complete the below once you are registered with MSHSAA

7. Email to Tom Smith Sgttgsjr@gmail.com, President HSSRA.

 

8. Forwarded documentation for HSSRA approval
9. registration &certification with MSHSAA,
10.  one letter of recommendation, from referee, coach, or administrator.
11. resume of soccer background.
